Abstract watercolorist presented PORTLAND, Ore.-The Hawk Creek Gallery in Portland, Ore., announces that it is the exclusive publisher of fine-art prints by the watercolorist Michael Schlicting. The artist is nationally recognized for his abstract forms of nature, such as the patterns of sand, the shapes of rocks and the color harmonies of sky and clouds. "My work vividly demonstrates that it is not what you see that counts, but what you sense," Schlicting says. He has been creating works for more than 25 years, and is inspired by his native town, Neskowin, Ore. He presently serves as the vice president for the American Watercolor Society, where he juries and teaches the traditions of watercolor. The gallery will present his reproductions painted in not only watercolor, but also gouache and acrylic paints. The prints are signed by Michael Schlicting and range in price from $45 to $250. For more information on his prints, contact the Hawk Creek Gallery at (503) 392-3879, or visit http://hawkcreekgallery.com.
