Suggestions

Mrs. Minda Cabrera had shown me two of her floral watercolor paintings for suggestions. I found that some artists started painting from the subjects, that they love in their daily lives, for example, flowers. This is happened to most of us. Final all, art is a good way to express ourselves through the common subject that we can relate to.

Here are some basic things that we can make our floral watercolor paintings more interesting:

  • Don't be afraid to use some bright colors in your painting
  • Differentiate the most important object from others in the painting, with different color, and often a brighter color
  • Before start painting, give it a few minutes to think about the arrangement of the painting. Think about the balance and composition.
  • Even though if two flowers next to each other and they look in the same color, you can experiment and maybe alter the colors to make it more interesting
