In a summer I was called for commissions for house portrait watercolor paintings for a few houses. I did sketches in drawing in location and taking many pictures for reference. These watercolor paintings were done from August to November. I especially like to colors of fall, the red color made the trees look like fire.

Here I like to share some of the sketches of these house portraits, which I did in location before I took pictures and started my final paintings in my studio. This stage in my painting process, I call it the stage of finding the excitement. It is very important for the success of the final painting, sometimes I did serveal sketches from different angles and compositions before I reached to the one that I was finally excited about.
