sunrise: watercolor painting by Nicole Brathwaite, a proud student of Yong Chen

Watercolor painting by
Nicole Brathwaite

Nicole Brathwaite's watercolor learning experience:
This is my first time taking a watercolor painting course. When I first began the class I had no idea what to expect, but now that we're half way into the semester, I have no regrets or second thoughts about ever signing up for this class. My experience so far has been extremely enlightening. I learned so much that I never knew about watercolors and I even learned things that I would not normally think about when it comes to painting with watercolors. All of the different styles of technique definitely made me aware of how much skill on can have for something that seems somewhat simple. I amy not be the best watercolor painter there is but I have grown to become much better that I was a couple of months ago. I found myself to the more and more interested in the watercolor class each week. Even to the point where I would, without a doubt, take this course again if given the opportunity. I have progressed slowly but gradually and am interested in seeing how much better I will get with time to come.
