Watercolor Lesson: Painting a Yellow Apple

Final Touches
Now come to the last step of the painting process. I first use lifting-off to remove some dark color at the top where it should be much lighter. After I removed the dark color, I add a bit of yellow color to the same area to keep it fresh.

Next I decided to do one more round wash with green color to deepen the shadow on the apple. Now the painting is finish, and you should sign your name somewhere in the painting.

After you've mastered these techniques and the process, please take out a REAL apple from your refrigerator, and place it on a table where there is a strong light coming from one side of the apple, then use the same process to do another painting from observation.
